A plastic blow molding process is the most common method for producing hollow products using thermoplastic materials. Plastic blow molding is done by using a range of production methods such as injection, extrusion, and advanced blow molding processes. The main section of a plastic blowing machinery are the hopper, an externally-heated feed barrel, a reciprocal screw, and the head and die assembly. Resin, usually in form of plastic pallet is fed to the feed barrel from the hopper. This hopper, maybe filled manually or automatically. As resin enters the barrel, it is moved forward by the rotating screw. The resin starts to melt, as it is driven forward due to both the frictional force generated by the rotating screw and the heat from the heating bands that are attached to the feed barrel. The melted resin built up in pressure as it is compressed and confined at the end of the barrel. To control the pressure, the rotating screw is moved backward. Once the perfect amount of resin is available, the screw is then hydraulically forced forward. This rapidly pushes the plastic melt through the head and die assembly to form partisan.
