For fuel tank caps equipped with air valves and steam valves, check whether the vent holes are unblocked. The filter screen of the oil filling port should be kept intact - so as to prevent impurities from entering the fuel tank during refueling and blocking the oil circuit. The gasket ring of the fuel filler cap should also be in good condition to prevent the oil in the fuel tank from overflowing when driving. After the car has been used for a period of time, the fuel tank should be thoroughly cleaned and overhauled. When cleaning the fuel tank, rinse the inside with hot water, and then dry it with compressed air to clean up the gasoline vapor inside the fuel tank. Then, put the gasoline tank into an aqueous solution containing 10% sodium hydroxide for immersion, and rinse the inside and outside of the fuel tank with running water after immersion. It can also be washed with 5% caustic soda boiling water solution, and then rinsed with hot water. If there is rust on the outside of the tank, brush it off with a wire brush and paint it. After the fuel tank is cleaned, check the tightness. During the inspection, block all the holes of the oil tank with rubber plugs, immerse in water, and input compressed air from the joint hole of the oil pipe. Welding after painting. During welding repair, different welding methods can be used for welding repair according to the size and location of the leakage hole. If the leak is small, it can be repaired by soldering; if the leak is too large, it should be patched and repaired; if there is a crack at the junction of the upper and lower half shells of the gasoline tank, the float of the fuel tank cap and the oil gauge sensor should be removed before welding. Remove the group end cap and fill the fuel tank with cold water to prevent explosion. When welding, use gas welding to cut off the weld seam with a width of 2 or 3 mm at the place that needs welding repair, and then use gas welding to repair it. After welding repair, use a file to trim the weld. If there is a large depression on the wall of the fuel tank, an iron rod can be welded in the depression to pull out the depression for repair. The repaired fuel tank should be tested again for tightness.
