Analysis of the molding process of injection molded parts and the temperature control in the process of operation

Author: MULAN -Plastic Molding Manufacturer

The molding process of injection molded parts is injection molding. The dimensional accuracy of injection molded parts is not high. Generally, it can be assembled according to the standard.

The appearance requirements of injection molded parts are relatively high. If necessary, secondary processing can be carried out to improve the appearance. defect.

Therefore, ordinary mold injection does not require a particularly precise injection molding machine, nor does it require specially designated materials. Generally, commonly used thermoplastics can be used for production. In the injection molding process of injection molded parts, in order to obtain high-quality products, the control of processing temperature is very important for custom mold injection molding manufacturers.

The temperature that needs to be controlled during the injection molding process includes barrel temperature, nozzle temperature and mold temperature. The first two temperatures mainly affect the plasticization and flow of plastics, and the latter temperature mainly affects the flow and cooling of plastics. Each plastic has a different flow temperature.

For the same plastic, due to different sources or grades, its flow temperature and decomposition temperature are also different. This is due to the difference in average molecular weight and molecular weight distribution. Plastics are used in different types of injection molding machines.

The internal plasticizing process is also different, so the selected barrel temperature is also different. The nozzle temperature of the injection molding process of injection molded parts is usually lower than the barrel temperature. This is to prevent the "salivation phenomenon" that may occur in the straight-through nozzle of the injection mold manufacturer.

The temperature of the nozzle should not be too low, otherwise it will cause the melt to solidify prematurely and block the nozzle, or the product performance will be affected due to the premature solidification of the material injected into the cavity. There is also the temperature of the mold, which has a great influence on the internal performance and apparent quality of injection molded parts. The temperature of the injection mold depends on the crystallinity of the plastic, the size and structure of the product, performance requirements, and other process conditions, such as melt temperature, injection speed and pressure, molding cycle, etc.
